Manhattan Short Film Festival - at the Park Theater
Date: October 6, 2012 - October 7, 2012
Event Description
Hayward's Park Theater is one of 6 venues in the state of Wisconsin and one of 300 theaters throughout the world to host the Manhattan Short Film Festival. The Fesitival began in Manhattan, New York, in 1997, when Nick Mason projected short films on the side of his white van for the public to view. Following the events of 9/11/01, the event went viral, when film lovers across the globe clamored to join New Yorkers in the festival viewing. The Manhattan Shorts now shows on 6 continents, in 300 cities, with the 10 finalists selected from 520 entries from 49 countries. The finalists viewing in 2012 is from September 23 through October 7, viewed during a pre-ordained week in October throughout the world, and the viewers are invited to vote for the film of their choice. "You Be The Judge" has replaced 'celebrity judges' of former years. This extraordinary film festival from independent film makers introduces a new generation of film makers from around the world. 2012 is the second year for Hayward's Park Theater to host the Manhattan Short Film Festival. Join us at the Park for another astounding collection of films from Norway, the Netherlands, Russia, UK, Ireland, Spain, USA, Romania, France and Peru. And, "You Be the Judge." The world wide winner will be announced at the ManhattanShort.com on October 7, 2012 at 10:M (EST).
