Forest Lab Intern Program: Paddle the Namekagon

Event Description

Join the Cable Natural History Museum Naturalist for fun, fishing, and river ecology on this overnight canoe trip on the Namekagon River! All paddling, camping, and fishing gear is provided by the National Park Service, and a NPS Ranger will give an evening campfire program! Meet at the Cable Wayside Landing at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Return by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cost is $10 per student to cover the cost of food. Space is limited. Register by June 6 by calling the Museum at 715-798-3890.



Event Location Starting Point: Cable Wayside Landing - South of Cable on Highway 63
Directions: From the intersection of 63 and 77, go north on 63 about 2 miles. Turn right onto Phipps Road (just after the KOA). The landing is about a mile down on the right, just after the river bridge.
Date/Time Information Leave 9am Wednesday June 13, return by 3pm Thursday June 14.
